OmniView is Uniview's panoramic camera line — single-body cameras that capture a stitched 180° or 360° image without the fisheye distortion of older single-lens panoramic models. OmniView uses multiple sensors behind a flat lens array, then de-warps in-camera so the output looks like a normal flat image rather than a fishbowl.
The result is a single camera that replaces three or four fixed cameras for typical lobby, retail and parking use cases. It also keeps the per-channel licensing cost down on most VMS systems, since the stitched panorama counts as a single channel.
